The objectives of our development

We want to provide to the users, for example the system suppliers of the car industry, the option of using a compressed material which fulfils the following criteria :

  • easy processing

  • fulfilment of all technical requirements

  • low investments

  • improved workplace sanitation

  • high availability

  • predictable cost development

In addition, from development to disposal our material should be as nonpolluting as possible while remaining payable .

Our strategy

In order to be able to guarantee the availability, local fibres like flax and industrial hemp should be used if possible in the strengthening of the group.

In order to be able to realise a favourable price as well as to protect the environment, as low a percentage of Matrix as possible should be used.

To the gratification of the technical requirements in particular of the impact strength and the warm state we have settled on a development with thermoset.

In order to keep the issues low, our developing work is concentrated on Acrylate especially as these can be extracted from renewable raw materials.

The investment and operating costs for the users should be held low because of the supply of Prepregs (preimpregnated fibres).

The materials

A natural fibre-prepreg-mat with a Matrix percentage of 19 – 23% according to application.

The range of products reaches from 400 to 2000 gs/m2 .

Like Nafacryl-basic but with additional coloring and coating. The additional acrylic coating allows the processing in an extrude-process without other surface treatments like concealing or varnishing .

The special advantages

  • short cycle times in manufacturing

  • parting agents can be renounced as much as possible

  • high strength properties

  • reduction of the issues towards phenol resin-bounded wood, bast or reclaimed cotton fibres up to 80%

  • weight reduction up to 30%

And the costs ?

In consideration of the whole process chain, the costs are not higher than with reclaimed cotton/ phenol resin because of the possible reduction in weight and the considerable shortening of the process times.

What are the potential application areas ?
